Channing Daughters

An eclectic range of 26 wines utilising the highest number of different grape varieties in Long Island. As much as 50 percent of the harvest is collected from prime sites that are situated outside the home farm, to promote varietal experimentation. The main white grape varieties are Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Tocai Friulano and Sauvignon Blanc. Their reds include Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon – with guest appearances by Teroldego, Refosco and Lagrein.

The Lenz Winery

Lenz have nearly 70 acres planted with: Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit verdot, Pinot gris and Pinot noir. At The Lenz Winery, the philosophy in the vineyard is high-touch. The Lenz team are extremely hands on in the vineyard, micro-managing each vine to full ripeness and highest quality each year.

McCall

McCall Wines are committed to producing the best wine they can from their land, they focus on less is more, by producing only Russ McCall’s favourite varieties of Merlot and his beloved Pinot Noir from many trips to Burgundy when he ran a successful wine importers in Atlanta, Georgia. McCall’s wines (Pinot Noir, Rosé and Ben’s Blend - tribute to McCall’s Vineyard Manager, Ben Sisson) were awarded high marks by The New York Times, and that was only his first vintage!

Paumanok

Varieties planted include Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The traditional dense planting of the vineyards at 1100 vines per acre produces more concentrated fruit and therefore higher quality wines. For the wines, only estate grown grapes are used and production is limited to fewer than 9000 cases in total across a large range of wines.

Wolffer Estate

The founder purchased 14 acres of land in 1978 and by 1987 had founded his adjacent vineyard. In twenty years the estate has grown to more than 170 acres, 55 acres (136 ha) of which are planted with vines.
